Head of Crisis Management and Operational Resilience at 2ASG Advisory Solutions Group.
Organizations invest heavily in business continuity and disaster recovery, yet many struggle to answer a fundamental question during a major disruption: who is making the critical decisions? This session explores how crisis management provides the governance, leadership, and decision-making framework that connects business continuity, disaster recovery, cyber response, and operational resilience. Drawing from real-world experiences supporting global organizations, attendees will learn the key components of an effective crisis management program and how to position crisis management as the foundation of organizational resilience.Item description -
Co-Founder and CEO, Contxt Risk.
Brian has more than 25 years of experience in risk and resilience. He is the author of The Business Continuity Operating System and has helped develop ISO standards including ISO 22301, 22317 and 22331. He is a Fellow of the Business Continuity Institute (FBCI) and received the BCI's Lifetime Achievement award.
His session is "The Speed of Understanding: Risk and Resilience in an Era of Increasing Organizational Complexity." Most organizations already have plenty of risk and resilience data. The harder problem is knowing what matters and acting on it quickly. Brian will talk about how dependency information, organizational context, and AI can help teams make decisions faster, instead of relying on periodic assessments and static documents.
