Alice has over 31 years’ experience in IT with 28+ years at LexisNexis / Reed Elsevier. Alice began her career as a software engineer and quickly 
advanced into management. Since beginning her management career in 1989, she has led many organizations spanning the spectrum from software
development, release management, development support, daily operations, technology introduction, and culminating in her current role as
Director, Global IT Service Continuity Management for Reed Elsevier. Alice holds the Master Business Continuity Professional (MBCP) certification
with 16+ years’ experience in business/service continuity management.
Alice also has 5+ years’ experience serving as a financial officer at the
state and local levels of 501(c)3 and 501(c)6 non-profit organizations. Her duties have included converting manually updated ledgers to electronic
ledgers and developing a system of financial reports required for regular financial reporting, budget management and IRS reporting.

Jody has over 25 years of experience in the information technology industry with the last 11 years focused on the various practice areas of 
Business Continuity Management. This experience also includes 6 years as a software engineer, over 7 years in project management and 4.5 years
in people management.
Jody holds the Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) certification and has been a member of Contingency Planners
of Ohio since 2001. She has served on CPO Council in the following capacities since 2009:

James Knox


James Knox is a BC professional with over 16 years' experience. Having worked for his own company employing over 45 to working with 
fortune 500 companies consisting of Fiserv, Dell, Alliant Energy and Marathon Petroleum, he brings years of effective planning, program
development with an adaptive program concept. He has been involved in multiple other groups and political roles. This former Montana
State legislator has held key roles in ACP, Safeguard Iowa PPP and many other similar groups. James believes in working smarter not harder
and would like to apply this concept to the position of treasurer for CPO to ensure the fiscal integrity of CPO is maintained.

Kathy is a certified BC professional with over 25 years experience in various aspects of IT, business continuity, and disaster recovery. 
Kathy has been a member of CPO since 2006 serving as North Region Program Director from 2006 – 2009, Vice President from 2010 - 2015,
annual Conference Chair for 2012 and 2013, and currently serves as the Membership Director.

Angela Lichtner

I was born in Colombia, South America. I have been in the United States for 21+ years. My husband and two teenage daughters are from Ohio. I have 
a degree on Engineering in Computer Science from
EAFIT University (Colombia). I am proud and love every second of being a Business Continuity
Specialist Senior at State Auto Insurance. I have been a key contributor in the process to mature the Business
Continuity program at my company.
I have also 
performed other roles, such as IT Application Administrator and IT Project Manager. Prior to being with State Auto, I was an Analyst,
Programmer and Technical
Support Coordinator at a previous company in Ohio. I hold the Toastmasters International CTM (Competent Toastmaster),
CL (Competent Leader), Project Management Professional (PMP) and Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) certifications.

Carolyn Wright

As a Certified Business Continuity Planner, Carolyn previously led the IT Disaster Recovery efforts and is now building the Business Continuity 
Program for the Cincinnati Insurance Companies located in Fairfield, Ohio.
Prior to joining CIC in 2004, Carolyn led the efforts for Disaster
Recovery and Business Continuity for The Ohio River Company for approximately 10 years.
She also has five years of experience as a CPO
South Region Director/Co-Director.


Anna Miller

Anna is a Certified Business Continuity Professional in the Cincinnati area.  She has worked in Business Continuity at Macy’s, Inc. for the 
past five years, currently serving as the Manager of Business Resiliency. Her main focus in her present job is to develop and enhance BIA 
and BCPs for over 200 departments within Macy’s, Inc. and to monitor, track, manage, and communicate all events with the potential to
disrupt business in any of our 800+ locations worldwide.  She has served as the CPO South Region Co-Director for the past year. 




Steve Sims is a Master Business Continuity Planner (MBCP) in the Central Ohio area. I have close to 27 years experience 
in Information Technology, Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery and Crisis Management.
The past eight years, I’ve focused on planning
for and executing recovery within the financial community. I currently work as the Technical Recovery and Crisis Management Program
Manager at The Huntington National Bank.
I received my CBCP in 1999 and my MBCP in 2011. I have been a member of CPO for the past
seven years serving as the Central Regional Program Co-Director and President. In 2006 and 2008 I lead the annual CPO Conference Speakers
Committee. In 2009, 2010 and 2011 I was CPO Conference Director.
I have enjoyed my time working with the members of CPO and look
forward to continuing those relationships in the future.
